A Unique Perspective
Nancy Greenwald brings more than four decades as a lawyer and business executive to her arbitration and mediation practice. She serves on the American Arbitration Association's Arbitration and Mediation Panels for Construction, Commercial and Energy panels, and has been appointed as a neutral by numerous private parties and courts. She is a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers and an active member of the ABA Forum on Construction.
Inside the Industry
What distinguishes Ms. Greenwald's practice is direct experience as both attorney and builder. She served as General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer of a design-build construction and development firm she helped found — sitting on the owner-designer-contractor side of contracts, schedules, change orders, and disputes long before she resolved them as a neutral. That perspective shapes how she reads the dynamics of a construction case: where contracts strain, where projects actually go wrong, and what resolution paths the parties can live with. Her commercial practice draws on the same combination of legal and executive experience. She has specific experience mediating discovery disputes — a focused, cost-saving practice area where her judicial temperament and command of complex records help parties move past impasse efficiently.
